Oh, crap!

SOOOO 2010 started out being a pretty good year. THEN this weekend I got sick and my eyes started to freak out. Come to find out... I have a bacteria in my eyes! Dang! And on top of that, i have a cold. Come on!

BUT at least I am getting medicine in it pronto and getting it healed up.

Better news though.. Jake is FINALLY doing better in his big boy bed. He sleeps through the night and in the morning will wake into our room without crying! YAY!

Well just wanted to give a quick update. So until next time, have a good one!

So much done in so little time

Our weekend was pretty busy and had some fun times!

I forgot to mention in my previous post that Jimmy's grandmother passed away Dec. 27th. She was such a sweet woman and I'm so thankful we were able to spend a really great day with her the Tuesday before she passed. Jake was so loving with her that day also. On Saturday, the family had her memorial service up at Mount Charleston.

We had a great dinner with much of the family and celebrated her life. We released balloons with messages on them and honored her. So beautiful!

At the restaurant up there, there was an Indian statue that I wanted Jake to get a picture with and daddy got in there too!

Sunday, we got a lunch from 7-11 (they have the best hot dogs ever!) and headed to the park. It really was a fun day. It was quite windy though, so we had to wear our jackets. Jake to me looks like he should be up in Aspen skiing or a mountain climber haha!

This slide I think was by far his favorite. Once he climbed the gym to the top, he'd walk right over to it and go off. It was a little squiggly and one time after his foot stopped him on the side, it turned him and he went backwards! Hilarious but momma (me) was freaking out.

Patches joined in on the fun too! She's so funny.

Jake and daddy going through a tunnel while my skin crawled! haha

Jake was so funny on this rock! At first he was so scared to go up it, then by the end he made it to the top by himself (with dad as a spotter).

Makin' it to the bottom of a slide.

We played a lot in the grass to burn off energy. I brought one of Jake's xmas gifts... a little gun thing that shoots discs. Patches and Jake love running after them! HAHA

Because of the holiday, Jimmy got Monday off and that night we took a trip to Chuck E. Cheese with our friend, Jennifer, Nick, Emily and Jake T.
The kids had a great time though I wanted to smack around some kids and even their parents! RUDENESS!!!
Jake loved playing all the games!

We got all of them into a moving ride together but once it started to go wild Jake and Emily didn't like it at all! Jake's the drive... see? HAHA

Wak-A-Mole!

Our little fam! Don't mind Jake's bruise... I didn't do ANYTHING! HAHA Okay, he ran into the fridge door as I opened it. Sorry baby! Oh and my hair looks sick!

All the kids in the little playhouse/slide thing.
After playing games, Jake got some tickets and was able to get himself and his buddies a sucker! Score!!!!!
And as for me, last week I started working out really hard again. Jimmy and I also made kind of a meal plan... just planned out our meals for the entire month so we were prepared. We figure this will help us save money and also get a little healthier since we won't be getting fast food or whatever anymore. The meals are pretty good too and not the normal fast throw it in the microwave and scarf type food. So far I haven't lost any weight but I'm still going for it. Fingers are crossed that I see results fast. Oh! I've cut back on soda again too! ::pat on back::
One last update... I've been thinking about getting Jake and myself enrolled in some classes. Him to socialize and me to become sane more. HAHA Well starting in February, Jake will be taking an art class AND a Mommy and Me dance class and I will be talking a Zumba class at our local community center! I'm pretty excited and can't wait! Just a couple more weeks. They are all 6 week long classes and are one day a week for an hour. I also think after these classes are up, Jake will be enrolled in a gymnastics class. Wooo! Get out his energy. HAHA
Well until next time, have a good one!

Wrapping up last year and beginning the new

Jake and I are finally back from our long vacation visiting everyone and have settled back in at home. So I guess its time I update my blog about our Christmas and the new year! YAY for 2010!

CHRISTMAS
Christmas was a jumble this year! Filled with great gifts, good food, family and friends, drama (typical huh?) and lots of memories.
Well I tried to get Jake to wear a Santa hat for photos...

But he didn't like it much.
On Christmas morning, we got up and went to see what Santa had brought. Not thinking, I didn't take any pictures of our Christmas morning with our little family... AND the video camera stopped working. Jake sure did get spoiled though. He got a toy chest/book shelf with some books and a outfit with his stocking filled with treats from Santa. From momma and daddy, he got clothes, a couple toys and other little fun things.
He got a fun wagon and other great presents from Nana and Pop Pop...

More fun gifts from Grandma and Grandpa, like a little people car garage and clothes..
And even more amazing things from Granny and Gramps like the little people farm and sign language videos.
He got a lot of other presents from aunts and uncles, friends and other family members. Boy, is he spoiled! I got some great things too. I got a sewing machine from my hubby, nutcrackers from my Jake and Patch and other great gifts from my family and friends. Jimmy got spoiled with Wii stuff and a g/c for his concealed weapons license along with tons of other stuff! Thanks everyone! We love all our stuff!
NEW YEARS
For New Year's, Jake and I were up at my mom's house. Maddie, Jake and I played some guitar hero! I was on the drums...
Maddie was on guitar...
And lil man was our rock star singer!
Jake also LOVED to play the drums! Every chance he got, he grabbed the sticks and went to town! Here's a video. Soo cute... (Don't mind my creepy voice haha)
It was very relaxing and nice to bring in the new year!
VACATION!
Like I mentioned, Jake and I traveled up to my mom's to celebrate the holidays and to have a little visit. We were able to see Brock, Alicia and Atley. Jake had a great time playing with Atley.
Since there was a ton of snow up there, one day Brock, Maddie, Atley and I decided to go sledding. I didn't get any pictures but it was so fun! We are all bundled up like little snow balls and Brock and Atley even got some pretty good air on one run. Hilarious!
Brock, Alicia and Dan went skiing on day and my mom, Jake and I took a ride up to see them...
And Jake was a snowball! Doesn't he look so cute? He hated it!!!
Back at my mom's, Jake decided to be a dog and crawl and lock himself in Lola's kennel. He did this more than once... so funny!
After my mom's, Jake and I had a chance to visit with both sets of my grandparents! It was so great to see them.
We then headed to my dad's house for a couple nights.
The day before we left, we went to this place called Jumpin' Jacks that has a ton of different bouncy houses with slides and games. Jake wanted to play the games. And we actually won a toy... hippo I think.
He enjoyed running around, but not so much of the bouncy houses
Or the car ride.
Then we headed to the park. He had a much more fun time there. He played all over.
After we went down the slide side by side and he pushed himself off, I thought he'd like to go by himself.
I was wrong and he chickened out. Too big I guess.
So that wrapped up our vacation. A great time and nice to get away sometimes, but I think we are both happy to be back and home with Daddy and Pat-Pat.
BIG BOY!!
And finally, this year has started off pretty good. It was sad we didn't get to start it out with Jimmy, but now that we are back home, I think we are all looking forward to what this new year has in store for us!
And Jake is growing up so fast. Last night, we decided to convert his crib into his "toddler bed".
Daddy had to set it up.
He was so proud! Once he found out he could crawl in and out of his bed, he was so proud! We are proud of him too!

Well I hope everyone had a great holiday and New Year celebration and I hope 2010 is great for everyone! Until next time, have a good one!
