Finished!

Throughout the week, I have been working on my main bathroom. I re-painted it and changed the theme. It was tropical, very typical for my taste. I changed it to brown and green and completely love it, though it was hard work! Thanks to my wonderful husband, I got everything hung and put back together tonight before I leave for my mom's. Here are some pictures.

Well, until next time, have a good one!

Just a quickie

Jimmy was out of town this week, leaving on Monday and came back today. Since he was gone, I actually got a lot of things done that I didn't expect to get done being that I had Jake all by myself for 3 1/2 days. I painted the bathroom and this weekend we will decorate it so I can get pictures up. I finished the last of Jake's birthday decorations and a couple other things.

Anyway, the reason for this post is to talk about my kid's sleeping. Since Jimmy was gone, I had Jake sleep with me because I have this weird and very creative mind that will go insane if I were to have Jake sleep in his bed and me in my bed, alone. Now when Jake sleeps with me, he doesn't just snuggle, he molds his body into mine. He is SOOO close that one of his arms either has to sit on top or underneath me because there is no where else for it to go. If I try to move away, he scoots his body to be right next to be again. Aww... most of the time it is the cutest thing, but after going to bed at 2am one night and then 12 the next, by the third night, I was pretty tired.

Also, when he wakes up, he ATTACKS! No joke! He doesn't want me (or if Jimmy is there) to be sleeping if he is awake. First, he will start to sit up then lay down on your tummy or ram his head into your side. Then he will turn to the side and start to kick. Most of the time, his little feet smack you right in the face. Really, he knows how to wake someone up. Now, I hate waking up most days... so by this point, I'm starting to somewhat get awake, but not fully up to his liking. So lately he has started to bite. And you know what? He bit me the other morning in the arm pit!!!!! SICK huh? It hurt beyond belief, but I guess now I know if I don't get awake by the kicking and head ramming, little teeth are heading towards me.

On a side note, my mom is having surgery tomorrow. Please keep her in your thoughts. I will let you all know how she is doing. I love you very much, Mom!

Well, until next time, have a good one!

Bows...

Lately, I have gotten some requests for the hair bows I make. They want to buy some. I'm very flattered but I don't even know how to start this. I was also told I should turn it into a business. That would be really awesome if it took off. I could go to craft fairs and try to sell them (that might possibly be my heaven to go to a bunch of craft fairs LOL).

But I don't know how much I would sell them for. There are two different styles... so would I sell them at different prices? What about headbands... I could add the bows to headbands but would that be a different price also? And what about specific colors? Brads (the center)? Design? I don't know. So I am asking you... kind people. What do you think? Should I maybe just start off small? Make them all the same (not headbands) and generic brads?

Hmmm... opinions please. Here are some pictures also.

What else could I do?!?

Hi! It's me again. Who else would it be right? HAHA Well I have been thinking about all the things we have going on for the rest of the year and I don't know if I will make it. Just kidding... but seriously, we are going to be crazy for the next couple months to finish out our year. Take a look at what we have going on...

- Nickelback concert
- Grandparent's Day
- Jimmy going out of town
- Mom's surgery
- Me going out of town (hopefully)
- Jake's Birthday
- The big First Birthday party
- Dad's b-day
- Papa's b-day
- Twins' 1st b-day
- Halloween (still have to make the costume)
- Anniversary
- Thanksgiving
- My birthday
- Christmas
- New Years

And in there we will be visiting family, shopping for Christmas, and I'm sure a million other things. Those are just the highlights of what we have going on! Goodness... we are some busy people.

On a much more exciting note, Jake is walking so well. Every day he gets better. Last night he walked from the living room to the kitchen all by himself without falling! I'm so proud of him. I'm hoping by his birthday, he will be mainly walking and no more crawling. I tried putting shoes on him yesterday at the park, but that didn't go over so well. They were sandals and kept slipping off. HAHA Funny stuff. I will try to get a new video of him up soon.

Well just wanted to jot down a quick hello and update to all my followers. So until next time, have a great day!!

Cali-Forn-I-A

This past weekend, Jimmy and I went on a much needed vacation. Jake stayed with Nana and PopPop. We have never gone on a vacation where it was just us. We always went to visit someone or with others. It was nice! I was really freaking out before I left about not taking Jake, because it was going to be the first time he was sleeping somewhere over night without me. But Crystal said he did great. YAY!
After dropping Jake off, we drove to our hotel... the Holiday Inn in Fullerton, CA. It was a nice little hotel with a big jacuzzi tub inside the room and a king size bed, I think our favorite feature. HAHA We have a queen, so a bigger bed is always nice so we can both stretch out.

Saturday, we slept in and because room service wasn't servicing anymore, we went to Denny's. Yummy breakfast.

Then we got ready and headed to go find some shops. We went to Newport Beach. Ya know, there are not a lot of shops down there... for souvenirs and what not. I thought there would be a ton like in Florida, I was wrong. So instead we just walked for what felt like 30 miles, stopping to take a couple pictures.

Then it was off to the game!!!! We went to an Angels game.. they were playing the A's. It was by far the best part of the trip. I absolutely loved it. The Angels are the only team I really pay attention too so to actually go and see where they play was such a fun experience.
There was a beautiful memorial site for Nick Adenhart, the pitcher for the Angels that passed away earlier this year.

We spent about a million dollars in the gift shop and food, but it was fun!

We sang "Take me out to the ball game"

AND I got to take a ton of pictures of Mike Napoli, the catcher who is a STUD! I even got a Napoli T-shirt! WOOOO!!!!

After the game, we hit Denny's again. Because of an additional breaded piece, I turned an onion ring into the peace sign. HAHA

We then had the post-game party back in our room with malibu and Killians.

Sunday, we went to Laguna Beach. TOTALLY not what I had expected. I think Florida beaches spoiled me. They are SOO different. We still had fun though.
We put our feet in the sand, played in the water and I fell in the water! Yes! Me! Can you believe it?! HAHA I know, I might be the clumsiest person alive. The waves were coming in like crazy and so avoid being crushed by the wave, I tried to jump over it and ::BAM:: I went down. Jimmy laughed. Jerk! HAHA but it was all fun.

After about an hour at the beach, we had to head home. I got really good at reading the maps. YAY Go me!

So there ya go. A glimpse into our vacation. It was so much fun but I'm happy to be home with my lil man and hubby. Back to normal life again.
