Man, she looks like a woman....

As I have recently stated in my previous post, my little baby sister has been staying with us for the past week. For her birthday, she got to take pictures from a studio and they turned out so stinkin' cute!!!!! She is growing up so fast and is really turning into a beautiful woman. Here are a couple...

Also, after boating on Sunday, we were cleaning the boat and because it was so hot, I asked Jimmy to spray Jake and I with the hose. He absolutely loved it.

Much needed...

Hello readers.
(Yes, I'm a little odd... I know haha)
It has been a while since I have blogged and I'm sorry. We were on VACATION!!!!!! WOOOO!!!

Jimmy, Jake and I headed to Northern Utah to see my family. We first went to the cabin for a few days. We rode 4-wheelers, did some fishing (I caught nothing!), drove to a beautiful lake, and relaxed.
I put a helmet on Jake and it was the cutest damn thing ever!!!!

During the ride, he even fell asleep.

At the lake, the boys went fishing...

and we stayed on shore.

Jake had a push-up and loved it.

Jake and Atley took a bath together in the HUGE tub... seriously this tub is probably comparable to Rhode Island. Okay... not really but...

There was a serious Wii tournament between the "tennis pros"... Maddie vs. Jimmy... James won! But then he was defeated by Brock. Whatever! HAHA

We bought a little pool for Jake to play in...

And then here is just some randomness.

After the cabin, we headed back to my mom's house. Maddie's birthday was that Tuesday. My little baby sister is 15! Can you believe it? I can't. Insanity! We ended up going to Park City on the way down the mountain and went on the alpine slide and the zip line. They were both amazingly fun! I didn't get any pictures of that... still waiting for some. HAHA BUT we did have a good time and I did make a killer cake for her that night. She got a lot of neat gifts too. We love you, Mad!
July 24th was Pioneer Day in Utah and while I'm not 100% sure what that mean, I did know we were going to light some fireworks. WoooHa! So here we are with the works flashin'.

We headed home Saturday with Maddie in tow. It was a fun time... wish vacations never ended.

Yadda, yadda...

Sometimes life rushes right by you without you even noticing. There seems like no time to appreciate what you have, the special people in your life and just the fact that you are alive. Things happen all the time to give you a little slap in the face.

I have been admittedly in a funk for the last couple weeks. I cannot pin point what it is all about. I think I am in need of a vacation! Part of me thinks it is a lack of sleep. Lil man has been getting up multiple times a night so I feel like a new mom again! I know he is only 9 months, so technically I am still a new mom... but I mean a new mom with a week old baby. On top of that, he is all over the place and wearing me down. I get so frustrated sometimes that I forget to just look at him and think how lucky I am to have this incredible little boy in my life that has changed me so much, for the better.

Tonight he was screaming (overly tired) and I could just feel my blood boiling and my eyes roll. I got him in his PJs, he kissed Daddy good-night and we headed to his bedroom for some milk and rocking. As soon as we sat down and cuddled into each other, my heart just skipped a beat and I instantly felt bad because I was so frustrated at nothing!!! He's 9 months old and he's tired! I need to grow up, I swear. It's humorous how much mom's blame themselves for their very legitimate feelings because while any sane person will tell you, I'm still a good mom, no matter how frustrated I got, because EVERY mom gets frustrated. I just need to remember to calm down and appreciate every little second, cry, hug, snuggle, kiss, everything with my Jacob, my son!

Another slap this week was my mom. Not that she slapped me HAHA but she did get some bad news, but got through it. She's such a strong person and I admire her so much. Life is just so unexpected that you just cannot take it for granted.

Working out and soda drinking have not been going well for me either these last couple weeks. Maddie was in town and we were on the go. Since she has been gone, we have been movin' non-stop and the more tired I get and lazy I get, the more I crave soda. SO I need to get back on track. Easier said than done, BUT I did it before and will start it again. Fingers crossed.

Today, Jimmy and I have been together for 6 years! Incredible, huh? He's such a sweet husband and helps make some pretty awesome kids. Okay, well kid... I'm sure the rest will be just as awesome though. It's been such a great and exciting 6 years. Gone by way too fast! We have almost been married 3 years and Lil man is almost a year. Holy hell, where has the time gone?!?!

Well I have just been rambling on and on about nothing really, but I needed a little venting type post. So thanks for reading, if you did. Off to bed for me and hopefully a little better outlook and calm life tomorrow. Love to you all!!!!

A clip, clip here

It was craft mania here at the Belanger house while Maddie was in town. We had such a blast and did so many things but crafting was one of the main things we did.

Friday we made frames. Modge Podge! They turned out so cute.

From the frames, I found out how to make hair accessories so on Saturday we did those!

While we were out running errands and getting out things for the hair barrettes, we decided to get our hair cut. Maddie got some layers and I went a little shorter. We then put dye in Maddie's hair. It turned out so beyond cute!
Here is Maddie's new do AND one of the hair accessories!

And here is mine... A little messy, but I like it.

Woo for Crafts!

Maddie's trip also included...

- a day at the lake

- a ton of baking

- fireworks and a bbq

- swimming at Abby's

- watching a million episodes of Bones (My new favorite show!)

- clothes shopping

- Maddie getting sprayed by water HAHA!!!

- time flying by WAY too fast

- her amazing camera and insane photos (which I cannot show because I'm a bit embarrassed at the faces I pull... okay just a couple)

- hanging out with the most awesome sister ever (me! HAHA j/k)

A day in the life of...

I saw this on another blog and thought it would be fun to do. Granted this is not a typical day for Jake and I, I thought this day would be exciting to blog about.
Jake and I woke up... (okay, this really isn't us but you get the idea)

Got ready...

Drove to Stephanie's so she could watch Jake...

Then I headed to the airport.

After getting through security, I picked up a treat for our guest...

Here is the plane she is in!!!!!!!

And Maddie arrived!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After we picked up Jake, we met Jimmy for lunch. (he didn't wanted his picture taken HA)

That night, we went to a jubilee.

There was music...
Jake and I danced...

We got sno-cones...

Hung out on the grass...

And watched Fireworks.
Jake could not stop watching them! He loved it.
Such a great day!
