Bones

*************SPOILER ALERT*******************

If you watch the show Bones and have not watched this past weeks episode, don't read ahead! haha

As some of you might know, I'm quite obsessed with Bones. Last summer, I rented all the seasons and Jake and I watched at least one episode a day until we were caught up to watch this season. Even now, I will watch reruns over and over again, loving every second. Jake knows the theme song, which by the way is amazing, and will come running to dance from wherever he is.
When I talk to Jimmy, I will sometime compare real life situations and people to the characters and events on the show.

From the start of the show, there has been a slight love interest between Brennan, aka Bones, and Booth. It is hard to explain because of how the characters are portrayed but I swear they are seriously in love!

Maybe it is just my hopeless romantic heart at play here. I do know that real life love does not play out how movies and shows explain it to be. Not all guys will say the right thing or do those amazing gestures as in film and really, I'm okay with that! And for the most part I believe very few people have soul mates.

But this show... these characters. They are these crazy in love, do stupid things, have the most perfect life people. They HAVE to get together. This past week Booth ended up telling Brennan he loved her. And what did she do? Well she cried, then he got teary eyed, which to me means they DO BOTH love each other. But she turned him down! Said she couldn't change, said she couldn't go forward with that. WHAT? You love him!!!!! Just admit it and stop being scared. This episode seriously broke my heart. Silly, I know because it is a show. But it did. My heart broke. I'm sure if you were to ask Jimmy or Maddie (who were watching it with me) they would say the same. I have been rooting for these two to get together for a year now and BAM I'm let down. I'm hoping, praying, wishing and yearning for this to be a rating stunt. That in a couple episodes when Booth DOES start dating someone else, Brennan will realize what she did and run into his arms and they will then be together.

Oh, Bones writers, please let this happen! Please let these two people be together. OR let me come and be a part of your writing team OR even visit the set! Okay, my dreams are getting out of control now. BUT I did have to get this off my chest. And now I must go mend my broken heart by spending time with my boys.

Until next time, have a good one!

Easter Bunny came to town

This is becoming quite typical of me lately huh? Post well for a couple weeks then **BAM** I'm gone. So sorry! I am going to try to keep on top of things but life has been a little insane. SO I have posted some updates following this blog also! Woo.

Anyway, I cannot believe it is already April! And Easter none the less. We have been lucky enough to celebrate it with many different people in our family. Last Friday, my dad and step mom came into town. We went out to lunch and they brought Jake an Easter gift. So sweet!

And last Sunday, we had a bbq with Jimmy's family where we did some Easter gift exchanges for the boys. Also, this past Friday, my grandparents came into town and we were able to visit with them and Jake again got a little Easter present. We were also able to get together with Jake's friends (and mine) Jake, Emily and Jennifer, Andrea and Baileigh and have a little playdate with lunch and an Easter exchange.

This Saturday, we had some more visitors! My mom, step dad and sister came to have Easter with us! That night, Justin, Stephanie and Jayden came over and we colored some Easter eggs.

While trying to get Jake to put in one of his eggs, he decided to chuck the poor egg across the floor. Good thing it was boiled! We did still color that egg and it is actually the egg he is holding in this pic... and is also the reason for my facial expression.

Stephanie made all her eggs in to animals! Look how creative! I love them. The bee in the back right corner is my favorite!

Easter morning, after my WW meeting (which by the way I'm down 18.2 pounds woo!) we opened baskets. The Easter Bunny got Jake a fishing pole, swim trunks, sports balls (which are his favorite), candy and some other nick-knacks.

The Easter Bunny spoiled daddy and pat-pat too!

I helped Jake go through all his fun stuff! He got even more goodies from Granny, Gramps and Aunt Maddie too!

Then it was time for the Easter Egg hunt. He did such a great job looking and putting his eggs in the basket.

I helped him go through the baskets as Patches tried to get a photo-op!

Easter dinner and games then took progress. It was such a fun day and very relaxed. I still cannot believe how spoiled my lil man is! He is loved by so many people! Such a lucky kid.
And we hope you all had a great holiday spent with loved ones.
Until next time, have a great one!

Big scary trucks

We went to the monster trucks last weekend. It was so much fun! Jimmy and I have gone 2 or 3 times prior and thought it would be fun to go again this year and take Jake along. At first, Jake did NOT like it at all! And he only wanted to sit with daddy, his protector!
I was the photographer and must say I got some pretty awesome photos. Look how high some of the trucks went. Serious air!

And I think this might possibly be my favorite photo. The truck in focus and the objects around not. So fun!

With all the action going on, we were able to get a family photo. Cheese!

And by the end of the event, Jake kind of liked it I think. What do you think?
I think we will definitely be making this an annual family event. Way too much fun! And I think I found a new career to pursue. Who wants to back me? haha

Lake time

A couple weekends ago, we went to the lake and had a blast! The weather was perfect.

Days before we headed out, Jake got some new sunglasses. He thought he was the coolest thing on Earth with them on (which lets admit it, he is).

After cruising around for a while, we stopped to hang out on the water. I got a cute picture of daddy and Jake in their glasses.... see!

And moments after this picture, Jake decided to spread his "coolness" to the fish and threw his glasses overboard! So if ya catch a fish wearing sunglasses, you better believe he is one cool catch! **badump-chhhh**

And then I took this picture... just perfection! It was such a great day! Can't wait for the next time we can go out.
