Scrubba-Dub-Dub

I am highly convinced that no body likes showers, or water for that fact, as much as my child. Yesterday I went to get into the shower and Jake followed me into the bathroom. He pushed aside the shower curtain while still in his jammies and started enjoying getting soaked. Jimmy got a couple shots of him.

I decided that he should just get in then since he was half way wet and he just went crazy!!! He laughs so hard and splashes all around.

I think if he could live in the shower, he just might.

I'm so excited that we will be able to get into pools and the lake this summer especially now that the weather is getting warmer and the water won't be cold. YAY!!!!

Happy Father's Day!!!!

Happy Father's Day to all the daddies out there. And to my husband and father of Jake, Happy First Father's Day to the best daddy! You mean so much to us! We love you, Jimmy!

This morning, we woke up and were planning on boating. But because the weather sucks, we ended up just going to breakfast with Jimmy's parents. First, Jimmy got to open his gifts.

Jake (and the pups) got him a signed "All Star Dad" baseball (Jake signed it HAHA), some Angels tickets and two shirts. I got him "The Office" game.

For breakfast we went to the Original Pancake House. Pretty tasty! After, we came back to our house and showed Crystal and Eddie our Wii and played a little. It has been a great day so far and will only get better!

Come fly with me

Just a little update on the whole weight loss, working out I'm doing. A couple weeks ago, I finally talked James into buying a Wii and Wii Fit of course! I LOVE it. I have always said I don't understand how people can love working out and maybe some people don't consider Wii Fit working out, but I do and I love it!

Tonight I did 50+ minutes on it and with the exception of our very busy weekend this past weekend, I have worked out every day on it for at least 30 minutes. I'm very proud of myself. No update yet on how much I have lost because I want to wait until the month is up.

I am however still doing great with my soda intake and have cut out so much junk food. Go me! So now I just wish the pounds would go away, but I know they didn't appear overnight, they will not disappear that way.

In other news (but no pictures tonight because it is late and I'm tired) just a couple of quick updates. Jake currently has 2 teeth coming through. They are the cutest teeth I have ever seen... though they hurt like a b**ch when he bites me. And they are just hurting him like crazy. My poor baby! I'd take the pain if I could. I will try to get some pictures of them one of these days.

Also, my brother's dog, Brody, is staying with us for a while. I hope he likes it here, though right now he isn't too fond of the situation.

Well I'm off to the most comfy and loved bed in the U.S.A. for some much needed sleep. So Sleep Sweet!!!

Follow me

I noticed just tonight that I had a follower that I did not know. And I absolutely LOVE it! It's very interesting and exciting knowing people are actually looking at my blog that don't know me. WOOO!!!!

It got me looking at other blogs, and following those blogs. I found this adorable 10 year old girl that I can't wait to read more about... And this lady who has a new baby, 4 months just yesterday I believe. It is so much fun to be able to connect to people you don't know through this amazing little website.

Sooooo... if you are reading this, and don't know me... Follow me!! HAHA It's like I'm the crazy kid in the back asking people to be my friend. But seriously, it's very cool. So yeah, just add on to my "follower" list. I dare ya!

Thinking, planning, planning, thinking...

So I have been going crazy with ideas for Jake's first birthday. I know it is 3+ months away but I can't stop thinking about it. Today, we went to Michael's and all their b-day plates and napkins were $1 for a pack of 8 so of course I had to get them!

I have been looking around at different cake ideas and theme ideas and I have a couple. But I kind of want to make a batch of cupcakes and test my cake ideas before the birthday but I'm trying to be good, so maybe for 4th of July or something I'll do it. Who knows!?!?!

Jimmy also thinks I'm crazy obsessing over this but I figure if I get ahead start, what's the shame in that? Especially with a baby crawling around the house... I can't wait til the last minute.

So if any of you have ideas, let me hear them! THANKS!!!

Music man

I'm totally convinced that my little boy is going to grow up and do something in the music industry. This morning, I downloaded a new CD onto my iTunes and wanted to listen to it. I pulled out the radio, plugged in my iPod and pushed play.

As the tunes were rollin', Jake stopped playing with his toys, crawled over to where the radio was and sat there, listening and staring at the sound. He LOVES music. He's such a doll!

My little CooKie MonsTer

The other day, I was eating lunch. I had a cookie on my plate to eat after my sandwich and Jake decided he wanted it instead. So what does he do? Crawls over and takes it off my plate without hesitation. So I grabbed the camera because I was shocked and entertained, laughing that my kid just snatched my dessert.

Here he is looking at the delicious treat.

Starting to eat it.
Really enjoying it...

Getting a little messy now.

And he doesn't even feel guilty!

Gotta love my sweet-toothed little boy! Wonder where he gets that from?!?!

One, Two, Three...

And my final blog to catch everyone up at the moment... there are actually three things happening.

One... I have a new hair do. Man alive, did it take a long time to accomplish what I wanted. I have never had highlights, so I was very unfamiliar with the process. Stephanie was going to do my hair so I told her to do what she thought was the best. I wanted to dye my hair black with purple streaks. I learned I had to bleach my hair before the purple could go in, otherwise it would not work. So after 4 hours, bleach, black and purple in my hair... this is how it turned out...

Yep! instead of purple, it was blue, green and blond! A MESS! HAHA
SOOOO the next day, Stephanie came back and we re-did it. After another 4 long hours, and a few touch ups the following day, this is how it looks. I LOVE it! YAY! But, needless to say, I'll never do it again... Solid colors for me, thanks!

Two... Kerry's (she is my best friend) birthday is manana and on Saturday she celebrated with all her friends. We went to California Pizza Kitchen which was to die for, then 80s night. She had so many friends there and her boyfriend. It was a good time. Jennifer and I drove together and we all danced our little hearts out. Happy Birthday, Bestie! Love you!!

Third and final task that I need to discuss. I am officially going to try to lose weight. I really need to. This past week I started cutting back on soda. That has been a challenge. I went from having about 5+ sodas a day to max of 2. And the 2 I have are cans... while I was having the big gulp size at least once a day... NOT good! It has been kicking my butt because I don't get my caffeine in the AM but I've been doing good... and drinking water. Starting today, I am going to make a VERY good effort to work out. And fingers crossed, I will stop eating all the crap I eat. I LOVE sugar way too much and it isn't healthy. BUT on a positive note, I have fallen in LOVE with pineapple, so YAY! SO, my goal is to report on this forum monthly. I'm not going to tell you my starting weight, but I will try to keep you posted with how I'm doing and maybe how much I lose each month. Keep your fingers crossed for me! And off I go to work out.

Cougars!

A couple weeks ago, my brother took his team Coronado Cougars Boys Volleyball to state.
Jake and I were there to support the team at regions and were able to watch as Brock got some amazing awards.
They won regions and got an award, then Brock got Coach of the Year for Southern Region (I believe) and a never-before-given award from the National Volleyball Association of Southern Nevada. It was sort of an honorary award. We were so proud of him and to be there to witness him getting this spectacular award.

After winning regions and the first round of state, the Cougars were in the finals for State. Jake and I were there again along with Jimmy to show our support. Jake is so proud of his Uncle Brock, he even made a sign!

The boys played their hearts out. They were so close the whole game, neck and neck with the other team. In the final game, after some really bogus calls, the Cougars lost. However, I have never been so impressed by a team of young men and I'm so pleased that we could watch the game. Good job boys!
And to my brother, Congrats! You are an awesome coach, role model and brother. We love you!

Memorial Day

Sorry I haven't updated in a while. We have been crazy busy!
Memorial Day was a blast. We went to Zion and camped with my Dad, Dawn Ann, Brock, Alicia, Atley, Robyn, Kaylee and some other friends.

Jake and I drove up on Thursday with Brock and Atley, Jimmy and Alicia came together on Saturday. We headed to Parowan on Friday to visit our grandparents and then went to the camp ground. We bunked with Brock and Alicia in a cabin. After getting everything unpacked, we headed towards the other group and played around.

Saturday, Atley and Kaylee were playing with bubbles while Jake and I laid on the grass (Brock was fishing).
Later that day, after Jimmy and Alicia arrived, Jimmy, Brock, Atley and I took a 4-wheeler ride. That was a blast, but I didn't take any pictures. Jake jumped on though after we got back.
There was a cute little playground that we took Jake swinging at.
Sunday, we went to a ghost town, my favorite activity of the weekend. It was in Grafton and is the town where Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid was filmed!!! The house were the filming took place at was not longer there but there was some pretty interesting houses.
We then went into town for lunch and shopping. There were some elk that the kids fed.
It was such a great trip and I actually took quite a bit of pictures. So enjoy!
